1. Mysore masala dosa


The red chutney mix that is smeared on the inside of the crisp dosa makes it different from other types of dosas. It is best enjoyed with coconut chutney and sambar.

2. Bisi bele bath


Bisi bele bath is the staple food of Karnataka. It is a simple yet flavourful dish made from rice cooked with vegetables and spices. It is best complemented by pappad and curd.

3. Ragi Mudde

Ragi Mudde is a dish from rural Karnataka made from Ragi flour and water. It is often eaten with sopinna saru made from green leafy vegetables and lentiles cooked with spices. This dish is high on nutritional value and has many health benefits.

4. Kane Rava fry

This authentic dish is made with lady fish dipped in red chilli paste and then coated with semolina and then fried till its golden and crisp.

5. Maddur Vada

A famous tea time snack, this dish is made with maida, semolina and a few spices. It is best enjoyed with filter coffee and coconut chutney.

6. Neer dosa

In Tulu language, 'Neer Dosa' literally translates to water dosa. It is made from rice batter without fermentation. It is usually served with chutney and sambar.
