Geographically kerala has divided in to three main tourist regions
1. Malabar(northern kerala ) 
2. Kochi(central kerala)
3. Tranvancore(southern kerala)

3. CAPITAL OF AYURVEDA:
The pivot of medication in kerala is ayurveda. Kerala is home to world's 1 st ayurvedic resort Somatheeram ,south of koovalam beach.

Backwaters of kerala  are a chain of brackish lagoons and lakes lying parallel to arabian sea coast (malabar coast). The network includes 5 large lakes linked by canals ( both man made and natural) and fed by 38 rivers .

Kerala has more than seven hundred elephant in captivity. Most of the elephants are owned by temples and individuals. They are mainly used for religious ceremonies in and aroumd the temples.
