Cotton and silk textiles are very famous n Andra pradesh . They are very famous all over the world.  Andrapradesh people developed the art of weaving, dying, and printing in ancient times. Andra pradesh was the center of civilisation.  Hence the traditional weaving techniques have been developed over 3000 years ago. They wove the clothes by traditional weaving method.

KALAMKARI FABRIC:
The kalamkari fabric is another variety of clothes.  The cloth is painted with mythological figures and epic stories. Hence the color for these paintings were prepared with vegetables,these are natural colors.kalamkari sarees ,punjab dress tops ,salwar kameez are very popular all over India.kalamkari fabric is trending today.A lots of people wear it all over the world.

TRIBAL COSTUMES OF ANDRAPRADESH:
Lambadies are half nomadic tribal people in andrapradesh and wear colourful dresses. Their dresses are traditional folk dresses. The women wear gorgeous colourful and heavy garments ,with lot of mirrors and beads. They dont like to be simple ,they want to be different and unique from others.

MODERN COSTUMES OF ANDRAPRADESH:
The women in urban area in andrapradesh are very interested to follow fashionable life trend . They are wearing fashionable dresses, because theybare working in companies .sophisticated women are wearing salwar khameez or trousers to work comfortably in the public. The advent of western culture in to Indian society causes a lot of impression on the Indian life style.

DOLLU KUNITHA An electric folk dance form, dollu refers to the drum and kunitha means dance in Kannada. Originally this was a very popular entertainment for village folks, in the days when television didn't exist. Every hamlet or village had a Dolly kunitha;most have one even today. A team consists of twelve -fourteen dancer's with one central singer - cum - director who has one metal instrument that he uses to set rhythm. Wedding day rituals of tamilians

MANGALA SNANAM: The wedding day begins at the crack of dawn. A paste of turmeric ,sandalwood and kumkum is prepared by the sumangalis or married women. The paste will be applied on the bride / groom's face,hands and feet. After the ritual ,bride/groom takes bath in holy water. GOWRI POOJA: This ritual is performed only by the bride. An idol of goddess gowri,who symbolises purity is placed on a plate containing rice and kumkum. The bride performs a short pooja to gowri idol ,wishing for a happy married life. PADA POOJA: Bride and groom performs pada pooja to their respective parents by washing their feet,placing turmeric and kumkum. MAALAI MATRAL: The bride is then brought in to mandap and the couple exchanges flower garlands as a first step of their wedding. The priest will make them do some rituals in front of sacred fire.
